Introduction:
Hello! Welcome to the November Edition of the Animal Safe Official Newsletter! This is the place where you can get the most information from our website! We have a lot of different information here, ranging from latest news on animal testing and animal cruelty, some fun facts you probably didn’t know, and to top it off, even some posters or activities that you can do! Latest Information:
Covergirl goes animal cruelty free!
Covergirl announced on November 5th, 2018, that they have officially gone animal-cruelty free and are certified by Leaping Bunny! They believe that cruelty free cosmetics should be affordable to everybody, and now it is. This is amazing news especially for some people who are fans of their products.
China amends its restrictions on animal testing
China has amended its restriction stating they needed to test on animals. They have now made it possible for companies to import cosmetics without the need of animal testing or animal cruelty!
Seven states in America have banned animal testing!
On July 2021, these seven states in America (California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Nevada, and Virginia) have officially passed laws for banning cosmetics animal testing. “Our success in ending animal tests in other countries and states proves that positive change is possible and creates momentum for passage of the federal Humane Cosmetics Act” Engebretson said.

Facts:
There are scientific limitations to animal testing because animals often react differently to humans leading to inaccurate estimates of real-world hazards!
Did you know that 92% of experimental drugs that are safe and effective in animals fail in human trials because it’s too dangerous or doesn’t work? This means animal testing is usually unreliable.
