Hello! Welcome to the January Edition of the Animal Safe Official Newsletter! We are sorry for not being able to post this one on time! Happy (very) belated new year! In this newsletter, we’ll be looking at the latest news of this month! Let’s take a look at our newsletter filled with activities, posters and more!

Latest Information:

The NIH supports and funds sickening experiments on dogs.

The National Institutes of Health spent around 2.1 million dollars on an experiment that involved injecting beagle dogs with cocaine between 2020 and 2021. The money came from people’s taxes unknown to the taxpayers.

NIH allegedly purchased beagles from horrid breeding mill

This segment is related to the first one. Over the past decade, it is said that The NIH (Nation Institute of Health) has purchased beagles from a Virginia breeding mill where the puppies and mothers are said to be kept in horrid conditions. 

Proposed Swiss ban on animal testing sparks research outcry

Switzerland’s research community warns of dire consequences if ban is approved by popular vote. Research leaders have warned that a proposed ban on animal and human testing in Switzerland would be disastrous, leaving the country isolated in terms of research and medicines.

Did you know that labs that use mice, rats, birds, reptiles, and amphibians are exempted from the protections under the Animal Welfare Act?

Did you know that Europe, the world’s largest cosmetic market, Israel and India have already banned animal testing for cosmetics and the sale or import of newly animal-tested beauty products? Yet animals are still being poisoned and killed in tests for cosmetics ingredients.

Did you know that some charities you support conduct animal testing? Some of those charities that condone them are Alzheimer’s Research, Heart Research UK, The Brain Research Trust, E.T.C. There are also many other charities in the UK that support Animal Testing.
