Animal testing today...

Line of Inquiry: An inquiry into the the process of animal testing

Many companies still do animal testing to this day, and even worse, they try to hide it. It hasn't been banned in the US because many people argue that it is actually good because of how it makes whatever we create safe and good to consume or use. This is actually not true, in many occasions, animals react different to humans when exposed to a substance. This leads to inaccurate estimates of real-world hazards. If, for example, one of the animal trials show that a product is safe for consumers, but the animal is actually immune to that kind of threat, scientists would have a false analysis of how the product affects a certain thing.

Obviously, there are humans trials to be completely sure that the product is safe for human consumption. You might be thinking that it's fair because animals and humans are both being testing on, but this is wrong. Humans are given a choice, meaning that the humans that are being tested on have volunteered for this specific purpose whereas the animals that are being tested on are forced to comply. The animals don't get to choose if they want to be tested on or not.

Animals are forced to inhale toxic fumes, force dogs to eat pesticides and other chemicals, drip corrosive chemicals into animal's eyes and many other despicable things.

Now animal testing is being used almost everywhere, and if it's banned in a country, it will not be in another. There are many loopholes in animal testing, from travelling to a different country to get your product tested on, to doing it illegally.

We need to be the voice of the voiceless. Let's speak out in behalf of the animals and stop animal testing!
